Cannabis Association Spotlight: National Cannabis Industry Association
The cannabis industry has an enormous economic impact. In 2019, global sales rose 48% to hit 15 billion dollars. Despite COVID-19, sales in 2020 are projected to continue to increase surpassing $20 billion by the end of the year.
As sales grow so does cannabis reform. With the help of organizations and industry advocates, all but 3 states have passed cannabis laws (with additional measures on the 2020 ballot). Thanks in part to the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA), one of the oldest and largest cannabis trade associations in the country.
When NCIA began in 2010, there was no organized association for the industry and only 14 states had medical cannabis use laws. Today, NCIA cannabis professionals fight to make the industry legitimate and give businesses the same access to banking and government protection that other industries are granted. Members get access to their knowledge and expertise along with top network connections.
